Direct Care Resources provides a Planned Respite Service for families caring for adults with a disability and for foster carers of children and young people who need regular 'time out' for themselves, This service is designed to provide regular support and assistance to primary carers who are in need of a break from this very demanding role.
Planned Respite can be provided at regular intervals determined between the primary carers, Direct Care Resources and the government funding agency.
DCR's experienced care staff are available to transport clients from their residence to our respite facilities in Toowoomba, Ipswich, Brisbane, the Gold Coast or Bribie Island and to provide care and support in a safe, comfortable environment. Upon conclusion of the agreed respite period, care staff transport clients back to their place of permanent residence.
